Our Emergency Departments deliver high quality care to the most urgent cases 24 hours a day. Our specialized teams are available around the clock to deal with the most complex cases and trauma.
The Emergency Department provides initial treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention.
Upon arrival at the Emergency Department, our patients undergo a brief triage to help determine the nature and severity of their illness. Individuals are prioritized for treatment based on the severity of their illness or injury. After initial assessment and treatment, patients are either admitted to the hospital or discharged.
Staff in our Emergency Department include specialist emergency medicine doctors and registered nurses, in-house emergency medical technicians, radiology technicians, ambulance paramedics and other support staff who all work as a team to treat emergency cases safely, effectively and compassionately.
