In 2007, HMC established the Hamad Trauma Center – the only Level 1Trauma Center in Qatar.
Today, the Hamad Trauma Center has developed into a comprehensive system. The system is a collaboration that includes the entire continuum of trauma patient care. As our population continues to grow, so too does the threat of traumatic injuries. The Trauma System is an inclusive structure which triages patients to the most appropriate facility based on medical need. The system features both administrative and clinical components, including pre-hospital services, acute care hospitals, a rehabilitation facility and mental health services.
