Dear delegate,

Mental Health Services at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is privileged to contribute to the learning and knowledge exchange of information relating to the field of psychiatry and mental health. Continuing with established tradition, we will once again, for the eight time, host the Qatar International Psychiatry and Mental Health Conference in Doha from 5th to 7th December 2019. Our overarching theme for this year is “Integrating Physical and Mental Health”.

This is one of the leading conferences in the region dedicated to continuing professional development for all healthcare professionals - whether you work within this field, or interact with people who do, or you are simply interested in learning more about this vast topic, this is the conference to attend.

We promise, once again, a rich and dynamic conference program designed to raise knowledge and understanding of psychiatry, mental health and wellbeing among healthcare professionals and to promote peer-to-peer learning and innovation in this field.

Your feedback to us has been valuable in supporting our efforts to continuously raise the standard and aim to exceed your expectations. Recognizing the varying educational needs of the audience, the scope of the conference is widened, and we will be introducing more tracks this year. Topics will include advances in psychiatric practice and research, integration of physical and mental health services, mental health care beyond hospitals, innovation in mental health, wellbeing, and many more.

We want to inspire you to share your own insights and experiences with other professionals and collaborate on finding multi-disciplinary based solutions to tackle clinical challenges in ways that are best suited for patients in this region.

We look forward to your active participation and invite you to submit an abstract for a workshop, presentation or poster. This is the ideal platform to reflect excellence in clinical practice, education and research, and to interact with like-minded individuals who are keen to promote mental health.
